Doha/Information Office/14 December 2016/ HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani held a telephone conversation this evening with chairman of the high committee of the Syrian negotiations Dr. Riyad Hijab.
During the call, they discussed the situation in Syria, particularly the worsening humanitarian situation in the city of Aleppo in light of the latest escalation.
HE Foreign Minister reiterated the State of Qatar's solidarity with the people of Aleppo as well as continuing the Qatari effort to help alleviate their suffering, pushing for a ceasefire and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid.
For his part, Riyad Hijab expressed appreciation and gratitude for the State of Qatar's stance and continued efforts to support the Syrian people.
