Doha/ Information Office/ 14  January 2017/  HE the Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met here on Saturday with the President of the 71st General Assembly of the United Nations Peter Thomson, on the sideline of the meeting on enriching discussion on the reforms of the Security Council, currently underway in Doha.

During the meeting, they discussed the objectives of the meeting and ways to realize them. The two sides praised the United Nations' role in keeping international peace and security, expressing aspiration to promoting this role.

HE the Foreign Minister also expressed aspiration to the meeting outcomes on intergovernmental process and ways of enhancing the role of the Security Council.
