Qatar, Spain Hold Round of Political Consultations

A round of political consultations was held between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Spain via visual communication technology on Monday.

The Qatari side was chaired by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, while the Spanish side was chaired by HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Arancha Gonzalez Laya.

The consultations covered the bilateral cooperation relations and issues of mutual concern.

Following the round of consultations, the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Spain signed an agreement on abolishing visa requirements for the holders of diplomatic, special and service passports between the two countries.

The agreement was signed for the State of Qatar by HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and for the Kingdom of Spain by HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation.
