Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets President of 26th UN Climate Change Conference

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met Sunday with HE President of the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) Alok Sharma, during his current visit to the country.

During the meeting, cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and the United Nations were reviewed, as well as climate matters.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs also expressed the State of Qatar's gratitude to the United Nations for hosting the 26th conference for the parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and for its long-term efforts to confront climate change.

His Excellency affirmed that the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and Qatar National Vision 2030 represent the basic foundation of Qatar's Sustainability Strategy.
