Assistant Foreign Minister Meets UK Minister of State for Commonwealth, UN

HE Assistant Foreign Minister Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met on Wednesday with HE the UK Minister of State for United Nations and the Commonwealth and Prime Minister's Special Representative Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, who is visiting the country.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries, the latest developments in Afghanistan, and ways of cooperation between Qatari, British and Afghan non-governmental organizations, in addition to discussing the effective participation of Afghan women in society.
HE the Lord expressed thanks and appreciation to the State of Qatar for its efforts and pivotal role in facilitating the evacuation of British citizens and Afghan civilians from Afghanistan.
HE the UK Ambassador to Qatar Jon Wilks and HE the Charge d'Affaires of the UK Mission to Afghanistan in Doha Martin Longden attended the meeting.
