HE Assistant Foreign Minister and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met Thursday with a delegation of members of Congress of the United States of America, in the presence of HE Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Qatar Natalie Baker.

The meeting reviewed the relations of cooperation between the two countries and the latest developments in the Afghan issue.

The meeting dealt with the efforts of the State of Qatar in Afghanistan and its assistance to the Afghan people in cooperation with relief and humanitarian organizations, in addition to emphasizing the continuation of cooperation between the two countries in the Afghan file.

The US Congress delegation thanked the State of Qatar for its efforts and contributions to the evacuation and safe transit of Americans and holders of US residency from Afghanistan.
