Minister of State at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Participates in Opening Session of Arab-Iranian Dialogue Conference

HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi participated today in the opening session of the second round of Arab-Iranian Dialogue Conference, under the title, “Approaches and Solutions to Security, Economy and Crises”, which is organized by the Al Jazeera Centre for Studies in collaboration with the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In a speech at the opening session, HE the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the State of Qatar still calls for diplomacy and dialogue as an ideal means to resolve all issues between countries, as it has become an international destination due to its successful mediations and unremitting efforts to bring views closer together and provide a reliable platform for all international parties, along with maintaining states’ commitment to international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.

His Excellency recalled the repeated calls of the State of Qatar for nearly a decade on the UN platforms for a comprehensive and meaningful dialogue between Iran and the Arab Gulf states to address all issues affecting the security and stability of the region, out of its belief in the unity of the common destiny, and in a way that achieves the hopes and aspirations of the peoples of the region in development and prosperity.

The opening session was attended by HE Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Jazeera Media Network Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al-Thani, HE Chairman of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations in the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Kamal Kharrazi, a number of senior officials and representatives of diplomatic missions in the country and a group of experts and academics.
