Doha/ (QNA)/ 05 September 2013/ An official source at the Foreign Ministry has expressed the State of Qatar's condemnation and denunciation of the assassination attempt against Egyptian Interior Minister Mohammed Ibrahim when a car bomb exploded today while his motorcade was passing in the suburb of Nasr City, east of the Egyptian capital of Cairo. In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the source said the State of Qatar while strongly condemning this criminal act which contradicts all human and ethical values and sets a serious precedent, calls on all the Egyptians to exercise self restraint at this critical stage of their country's history that requires reconciliation, solidarity and work for the consolidation of national unity. The statement also called on the Egyptians to distance themselves from revenge and to solve any political dispute between them through political dialogue in order to preserve the security, safety and stability of their country and to protect their citizens. The source renewed the firm positions of the State of Qatar that denounce violence in all its forms and manifestations whatever be their source.
