Montevideo/ 25 May 2014/ Uruguay's Minister of Education and Culture Ricardo Ehrlich met here today with Qatar's Ambassador to Uruguay Mohamed bin Hassan Jaber Al-Jabir. Talks during the meeting dealt with relations between the two friendly countries and means of enhancing them. During the meeting, Ambassador Al Jabir handed over the Uruguay minister a painting presented by HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al-Kuwari to be displayed at one the museums of Uruguay's Ministry of Education and Culture. The painting depicts the originality of the Qatari people in terms of their customs and traditions and reflects attention they pay to their heritage and essence, in the context of the progress the Qatari society is enjoying.
