Tokyo/ QNA / 27 May 2014/ HE Qatari Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid Bin Mohamed Al Attiyah met here on Tuesday with his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida. During the meeting, the two ministers discussed bilateral relations , the latest Araband international developments in addition to reviewing the key projects being undertaken by the Qatar-Japan Fund for the reconstruction of the areas affected by earthquakes and Tsunami which hit East Of Japan in March 2011. The meeting was attended by HE Qatar's Ambassador to Japan Yusuf Mohamed Bilal and a number of officials at the Qatari foreign ministry whereas it was attended on the Japanese side by Tsukasa Aomiura, the Director General of the Middle East and African affairs department at the Japanese Foreign Ministry as well as a number of senior ministry officials. Earlier today, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met here on Tuesday HE Qatari Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid Bin Mohamed Al Attiyah who is now on a two-day official visit to Japan. An official source at the Qatari Ministry Of Foreign Affairs said in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) today that Japan thanked Qatar for the development projects it is undertaking through the Qatar-Japan Fund for the reconstruction of the areas affected by earthquakes and Tsunami which hit East Of Japan in March 2011.
