Istanbul /Information Office / 05 May 2015/ Istanbul Mayor Kadir Topbas met at Khedive Abbas Palace in Istanbul with HE Qatar's Ambassador to Turkey Salem bin Mubarak Al Shafi. Istanbul Mayor and HE Qatar's Ambassador toured the Khedive Palace, which was built in 1905 and located on the Asian side of the Bosphorus in Istanbul, Turkey. During the meeting, they discussed the existing cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing them. HE Al Shafi extended his thanks to Istanbul Mayor for his efforts that helped in renaming one of the main streets in the heart of Istanbul after 'Qatar'. For his part, Mayor Topbas praised HE the Ambassador's proposals and efforts which contributed to promoting and developing the relations between the two countries.
