Katmandu /Information Office/ 18 May 2015/ Qatar's Ambassador to Nepal HE Ahmed Jassim Al-Hamar met today with a delegation from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) comprising Chief of IOM Mission in Nepal Maurizio Busatti and IOM's senior regional disaster adviser Brian Kelly. The delegation reviewed the organization's projects in Nepal aimed to address the repercussions of the earthquake that hit the country recently, especially sheltering operation ahead of the advent of the rainy season. The delegation meanwhile praised the role of Qatar Red Crescent's (QRC) operations in Nuwakut and Pulshowk areas. The Ambassador underlined the need for urgent measures to shelter those who lost their homes before the rainy season, noting that the State of Qatar joins hands with the international community and humanitarian organizations to alleviate the suffering of the Nepalese people in this plight.
