Doha/ Information Office/ 24 May 2015/ The Universal Peace Federation awarded HE Ambassador Dr. Mutlaq Majid Al-Qahtani, Director of the Foreign Ministry's Department of International Organizations and Conferences the Ambassador for Peace Award at a grand ceremony in New Zealand's city of Auckland . By winning the Ambassador of Peace Award, Dr. Al-Qahtani joins an elite of international leaders and officials who pledged to build the community and make it aware of the principles of peace and spread their people's great culture in the world. Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Al-Qahtani said: " It is a great honor for me to receive the Ambassador of Peace Award, stressing that acceptance of the award comes with gratitude and modesty on behalf of the oppressed everywhere in the world, and on behalf of peace-loving people who stood bravely against the forces of tyranny. "I came from a country that views international relations as a trend based on the consolidation of peace and security through the promotion of the peaceful settlement of disputes, and the support the right of peoples to self-determination, referring in this respect to the State of Qatar's conviction that international peace and security can only be achieved through a dialogue based on the principles of equality, compliance with the international law and respect for human rights," Dr. Al-Qahtani added.
