Rome /Information Office/ 25 May 2015/ Qatar's Ambassador to Italy Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al-Malki Al Jehani today presented his credentials to the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) during a meeting with IFAD's President Kanayo F. Nwanze. During the meeting Nwanze praised the role of the State of Qatar in the fund and its support to its financial resources, underlining the importance of the joint action between the State of Qatar and IFAD in the elimination of poverty and the sustainable management of natural resources. Qatar is a founding state of IFAD, which was established in 1977, and a member of its executive board. It also contributes to the replenishment of its financial resources.
