Ankara /Information Office/15 September 2015/ The second meeting of Qatari - Turkish High-Level Strategic Committee for follow up the joint accord document held here Tuesday. The meeting was co- chaired by HE Qatar's Ambassador to Turkey Salem bin Mubarak Al Shafi and Deputy undersecretary of Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Umit Yalcin in the presence of a number representatives of the two countries from various government departments and private sector. Speaking at the outset of the meeting, Yalcin highlighted the agreement of the establishment of the Qatari - Turkish High-Level Strategic Committee signed by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan here during December last year. He also praised the meeting between HE Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah and Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu which was held within the framework of the Qatari-Turkish consultative committee meeting in May, in the city of Antalya. For his part, HE Ambassador Al Shafi extended his sincere condolences to the Republic of Turkey on the death of a number of its armed forces personnel , stressing Qatar's full solidarity with Turkey for its actions and measures to protect and preserve its security and stability and expressed his thanks to the Turkish side for the good organization and warm reception.
