New York/ Information Office/ 02 October 2015/ The State of Qatar expressed its hope on Friday that different groups in Libya have a successful dialogue in cooperation with United Nations Special Representative Bernandino Lyon. This came in a statement by the State of Qatar in the high-level meeting on Libya, which was held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The statement was read by HE Foreign Minister Assistant for International Cooperation Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. His Excellency stressed that the agreement of Libyans on a national reconciliation government will be the only way for Libya to return as an active member of the international community. His Excellency praised the constant efforts of the UN Special Representative in bringing together the different Libyan groups, which will help form a shared vision and eventually an end to the division.
