Doha/ Information Office/ 20 October 2015/ HE Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamad Al Attiyah met here today with head of the Syrian National Coalition Khaled Khoja. During the meeting, they discussed the Syrian crisis and international initiatives and their developments at international level, within the framework of supporting the legitimate rights of the Syrian people and the preservation of regional and national unity of Syria. HE the Foreign Minister reaffirmed Qatar's firm position in support of the Syrian people in their just cause, stressing that the State of Qatar is still exploring alternative ways under the UN umbrella to save the Syrian people. For his part, Khaled Khoja expressed his appreciation for the noble positions taken by the Emir, government and people of Qatar and its noble efforts in support of the Syrian people and their just cause. The meeting was attended by a number of officials from the Foreign Ministry.
