Doha/ Information Office/ 26 October 2015/ The State of Qatar has strongly condemned and denounced the explosion that targeted Al-Mashhad Mosque in the Saudi city of Najran during the Maghreb prayer and killed one worshipper. In a statement issued on Monday, the Foreign Ministry said such a criminal act contradicts with all moral and humanitarian values and principles as well as teachings of Islam, stressing Qatar's backing for Saudi Arabia and its full support for all actions taken in order to promote security and stability. The ministry expressed concern over the increasing blasts that target mosques and innocent worshippers and aim to undermine security and create strife and sectarianism, stressing Qatar's absolute rejection of violence and criminality whatever the motives and causes are. The statement also expressed Qatar's sincere condolences to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Saudi government and fraternal people as well as family of the deceased, wishing speedy recovery for the injured.
