" The statement emphasized that Qatar was deeply concerned about what had been highlighted by the report of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) which included multiple and widespread violations of human rights of the Palestinian people and their right to development and self-determination, which reported in 2014, the highest toll of casualties among Palestinian civilians since 1967 reaching unprecedented level of destruction. The statement stressed the importance of Protection of Education which is clearly outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that everyone has the right to learn." In this regard, Qatar renewed its call for continuing efforts to prevent attacks on schools, according to the provisions of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, and in accordance with the relevant Security Council resolutions, the statement added.
