Doha/Information Office/ 12 January 2016/ HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has received a telephone call from the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau , in which he expressed deep gratitude and thanks to HH the Emir for the efforts made by the State of Qatar for the release of Canadian citizen who was detained by the Taliban in Afghanistan for more than five years. Discussions during the call also dealt with means of strengthening bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of common interest.
