Cairo/Information Office/ 11 March 2016/ The Foreign Ministers of the Arab League Council said Friday that the kidnapping of Qatari citizens in Iraq is a terrorist attack that contrasts international law and human rights. The council released a statement in its 145th regular session saying they were deeply concerned by the kidnapping of Qatari citizens who had a permit from the Ministry of Interior to enter. The council expressed their backing to any action the Qatari government takes regarding the matter. The council expressed their hope that the contacts the Qatari government is making with its Iraqi counterpart will lead to the release of the Qatari hostages.
