Doha/Information Office/ 09 May 2016/The State of Qatar strongly condemned the attack which targeted traffic police headquarters in Mogadishu, killing and wounding a number of people. A statement released on Monday by the Foreign Ministry said that the State of Qatar, while condemning the criminal acts that are contrary to all human values and principles, reaffirmed its solidarity with the Republic of Somalia and its people, and its support to all efforts undertaken by Somalia to maintain security and stability. The statement stressed Qatar's firm position which rejects violence and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, whatever its motives and justifications. The statement expressed sincere condolences with the Government of Somalia and families of the victims killed by this heinous crime, and wished speedy recovery for the wounded.
