Doha/Information Office/06 June 2016/ The State of Qatar strongly condemned the armed attacks that targeted a military base in the town of Poso in southeast Niger, killing at least 30 soldiers and wounding 67 others. The Foreign Ministry stressed in a statement Qatar's solidarity with Niger and its people and its full support for all efforts aiming to maintain security and stability in the country. The statement also reiterated Qatar's firm stance which rejects violence and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, whatever its motives and causes. The Foreign Ministry statement expressed condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims killed by these attacks, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
