Qatar Condemns Munich Shooting

Doha/ Information Office/ 22 July 2016/ The State of Qatar voiced strong condemnation and denunciation of the shooting incident at a shopping mall in the German city of Munich, which left a number of people killed and wounded. In a statement issued Friday, the Foreign Ministry said that criminal act that targeted innocent civilians and other incidents that took place recently call for the collaboration of international efforts to eradicate the phenomenon of terrorism within a comprehensive perspective that ensures the uprooting of this plague. The ministry reiterated in the statement Qatar's stance in rejection of violence and terrorism whatever the motives and causes were, stressing Qatar's solidarity with the Federal Republic of Germany. The statement also expressed sincere condolences to the families of the victims as well as the government and people of friendly Germany, wishing speedy recovery for the injured.
