Oslo/information office / 21 August 2016 / HE Foreign Minister of Qatar Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met Sunday with Norway's Minister of Foreign Affairs Borge Brende. They discussed bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Norway, specifically in the field of energy, education and economy. They also discussed ways to advance relations in the future. HE the Foreign Minister expressed Qatar's commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation with Norway by expanding the scope and number of fields the two countries cooperate in. For his part, Brende expressed his appreciation to HE the Foreign Minister for accepting the invitation to visit Norway. Brende stressed the kingdom's keenness on enhancing bilateral relations with Qatar in all fields. He also highlighted Qatar's regional and international status, in addition to its role in promoting peace and enhancing stability.
