Doha/ Information Office/ 26 August 2016/ The State of Qatar expressed its condemnation and denunciation of the bombing which occurred near a police checkpoint in the southeastern Turkish province of Sirnak Friday, killing and wounding a number of police officers. In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said that the State of Qatar strongly condemns these heinous criminal acts aimed at destabilizing security and stability, affirming full solidarity with the brotherly Republic of Turkey in all actions and measures to address these criminal acts and maintain security and stability in country. The Foreign Ministry reiterated Qatar's rejection of violence and terrorism in all their forms and manifestations, whatever their motives and causes. The statement extend sincere condolences and sympathy to the Turkish government, people and families of the victims, wishing the injured speedy recovery.
