New York/Information Office/19 September 2016/ HE Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi met with Antonio Guterres, former Portuguese Prime Minister, former United Nations high commissioner for refugees and the candidate for the UN Secretary General post, on the sidelines of 71st Session of the UN General Assembly. During the meeting, they reviewed the Qatari-led initiative "Qatar Upholding Education for Syrians' Trust (QUEST)", which will be launched in New York on Wednesday in collaboration with Qatar Development Fund. In this context, they stressed the right of higher education in emergency situations, and the need to draw the attention of the international community on the growing refugee crises. They called on the international community to exert more efforts to address the root causes of the refugee crisis.
