New York /Information Office/ 22 September 2016/ Qatar's Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani has participated in the ministerial meeting, which was called for by the State of Qatar, Tunisia and France, held under the slogan, "Tunisia: reforms and investment opportunities." The meeting, held in New York on the sidelines of the 71st session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, highlighted the initiative presented by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani President Beji Caid Essebsi of Tunisia in support of Tunisia in this important stage of successes in the political transition process. The initiative calls for an international conference to support the economy and investment in Tunisia. HE Foreign Minister at the meeting stressed Qatar's interest in holding this conference, based on its desire to stand with the people of Tunisia, and to provide all conditions that would strengthen the capacity of Tunisia to overcome temporary economic conditions it has been experiencing at the present time.
