Singapore/Information Office/05 October 2016/ President of the Republic of Singapore Tony Tan Keng met Wednesday with HE the Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, who is currently visiting to Singapore. HE the Foreign Minister conveyed to the President of Singapore the greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, who also wished the people of Singapore further progress and development. For the Singaporean President's part, He asked HE the Foreign Minister to convey greetings to HH the Emir. The President also expressed his wishes of further development and prosperity to the people of Qatar. The meeting dealt with bilateral relations and the means to enhance them, as well as discussing the scope for enhancing bilateral cooperation. The President of Singapore and HE the Foreign Minister of Qatar also discussed matters of joint interest.
