HE Foreign Minister Participates in International Meeting to Settle Syrian Crisis

London/Information Office/16 October 2016/ HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani participated in a meeting hosted by British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson to discuss ways to settle the Syrian crisis. The meeting was attended by Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubeir, US State Secretary John Kerry, Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Jawish Ihsanoglu, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Italian Foreign Minister Paulo Jntelaun, and Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh. The meeting discussed the outcomes of the Lausanne meeting, a ceasefire in Aleppo, the resumption of the delivery of humanitarian aid to besieged areas and the protection of civilians. Prior to the meeting, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met with British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and discussed with him bilateral relations between the two countries and issues of common interest and the current situation in Syria.
