Cairo/Information Office/30 November 2016/ The 5th joint meeting of the Arab League permanent delegates and the Political and Security Committee of the EU Council began Wednesday at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League.
Qatar participates in the meeting with a delegation headed by HE Qatar's Ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Delegate to the Arab League Saif bin Muqaddam Al Bueinain.
Permanent Representative of Tunisia Ambassador Najib Najib Mnif is presiding over the Arab side while presiding over the European side is Chairman of the Political and Security Committee of the EU Council Ambassador Walter Stevens and Deputy Secretary-General for Political Affairs at the European External Action Service Jean-Christophe.
Participants in the meeting will review reports on the peace process in the Middle East, Syria, Libya, Yemen and Iraq, as well as the issues of terrorism, immigration, and refugee crisis.
