Rome/Information Office/30 November 2016/ Qatar's Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani held a session of talks with the Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni. During the meeting, they discussed relations between the two countries in various spheres, especially in the field of economic cooperation in addition to mutual support in international forums.
They also exchanged views on a number of regional issues, particularly the situation in Libya. The two sides stressed the importance of supporting the Presidential Council of the National Reconciliation Government in Libya in its quest to achieve security and stability in the country.
They also discussed the current situation in Syria and means to resolve the Syrian issue and ending the humanitarian crisis in Aleppo.
