Doha/ Information Office/ 04 January 2017/  HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani on Wednesday met Riad Hijab, head of the Syrian high negotiations committee, and Anas Al-Abdah, president of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces.

The meeting reviewed the recent developments on the Syrian front, particularly in the wake of the Russian-Turkish agreement on ceasefire. They also exchanged points of view on efforts to reach a political settlement for the Syrian crisis.

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi attended the meeting along with Jawad Abu Hatab, prime minister of the Syrian interim government, and Abdel-Ilah al-Fahd, secretary general of the Syrian national opposition coalition.
