Qatar Contributes To Finance Renovation Of International Atomic Energy Agency Laboratories

HE Qatar's Ambassador to Austria and Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani has met with the Director General of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano and his Deputy for Nuclear Sciences and Applications Aldo Malavasi. 
During the meeting, HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani handed over to Amano a cheque of 300 thousands euros, which represents the State of Qatar's contribution to the renovation prof IAEA laboratory in the Seibersdorf near the city of Vienna. 
The laboratory will provide services after being equipped with the latest technologies to 150 developing countries of the IAEA members in nuclear applications research in the areas of food, agriculture, human health, water resources, environmental improvement and animal health. 
The cost of the renovation project is more than 30 million euros and 28 countries have offered their contributions to the project, including the State of Qatar.
