HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met today with HE US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, during his visit to the State of Qatar.

During the meeting, they reviewed relations between the State of Qatar and the United States, and ways of strengthening and developing them, as well as issues of common concern.

HE the Foreign Minister briefed HE the US Secretary of State on the latest developments of the Gulf crisis, and the illegal measures taken against the State of Qatar, reiterating Qatar's commitment to fighting terrorism and its financing.

For his part, HE the US Secretary of State confirmed the continued cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United States in the fight against terrorism and its financing and the exchange of security information related to terrorism.

The meeting was attended by HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al -Thani, HH the Emir's Secretary for Investment Affairs.

Following the meeting, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed to regulate the principles of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United States in combating terrorism.
