The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the explosion that targeted a gathering in the city of Jalalabad in eastern Afghanistan and left a number of people killed and injured.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance in rejection of violence and terrorism whatever their motives and causes were.

The statement voiced the State of Qatar's condolences to the families of the victims as well as the government and people of Afghanistan. It also wished speedy recovery to the wounded.
