At the invitation of HM Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, HE Qatar's Ambassador to the United Kingdom Yousef bin Ali Al Khater participated in the annual reception held at Buckingham Palace on the occasion of New Year's Day.

The ceremony was attended by Queen Elizabeth II, members of the royal family, a large number of British and international dignitaries, and Arab and foreign ambassadors accredited to the United Kingdom.
