The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack which targeted a police training camp in the Somali capital Mogadishu, killing and wounding a number of people.

A statement released on Thursday by the Foreign Ministry reiterated Qatar's firm position in rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of their motives or reasons.

The statement expressed the State of Qatar's sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the Government and people of Somalia, wishing speedy recovery for the wounded.
