HE President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas met with HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani at his stay in Doha today during the current visit to Qatar.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways of boosting them, in addition to developments in Jerusalem and a number of issues of common concern.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister reiterated Qatar's firm stance in supporting the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of the brotherly Palestinian people based on the resolutions of international legitimacy and the two-state solution agreed upon by the international community to ensure the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
