Qatar's Embassy in Spain Celebrates National Day by Publishing Magazine Issue and a Song in Spanish

The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Madrid issued a magazine in Spanish and a national song entitled Qatar and the World, as the country celebrates the national day.

The magazine discussed the state's achievements on the political, economic, sports and cultural levels. It also provided an overview of the State of Qatar's history and its important role in the Middle East and the world. The magazine also addressed the efforts of HH Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser in achieving the best education levels and social reforms, through several local and international projects that she launched as Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Spain Mohammed Jaham Al Kuwari was featured in the magazine and spoke of the historic rapprochement and friendship between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Spain. His Excellency noted that the State of Qatar was still moving ahead with its projects, despite the siege. HE the Ambassador added that the country was also betting on building a prosperous future by diversifying its economy, investing in education and sports, spreading a culture of dialogue and tolerance, and promoting respect for human rights and freedom of expression.

In an interview with Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee NHRC Dr Ali bin Sumaikh Al Marri, the magazine discussed the human rights violations made on the part of the siege countries which involved the separation of entire families, including children and women, persons with special needs and the elderly, and the denial of mothers and fathers to stay with their children.

The magazine has highlighted in several articles the strength of Qatar's economy, which allowed it to overcome the GCC crisis and undertake new projects to diversify its economy and achieve further prosperity.

The magazine also devoted an article to Al Jazeera's pioneering role in spreading the culture of freedom of expression and independent media in the region.

There was also an interview with Secretary-General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Hassan Al Thawadi to discuss World Cup 2022 preparations.

The magazine had an article on the achievements made in advancing labor rights, the attractiveness of Qatar as a tourist destination, and another article on the cultural scene in the country.

Qatar Airways was also featured in the magazine, with an article listing the company's many achievements.
