The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the explosion that targeted a supermarket in the Russian city of St. Petersburg and left a number of people injured.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Foreign Ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance in rejection of violence and terrorism no matter what the motives and causes were.

The statement expressed the State of Qatar's wishes of speedy recovery for the injured.
