Qatar Participates in Two Arab League Meetings on Al Quds

The State of Qatar participated Thursday in a meeting held by the Arab Peace Initiative Committee at the headquarters of the Arab League.

The meeting was held at the level of foreign ministers of the committee's member countries. It was held to discuss the latest developments in Al Quds in light of the U.S.' recognition of the city as a capital of the Israeli occupation.

The State of Qatar also participated at an Arab League meeting at the level of foreign ministers. The meeting aimed to continue discuss the Arab plan to dealing with the negative implications of the decision of the U.S. which recognized Al Quds as a capital of Israeli occupation. The meeting also took place at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.

The delegation of the State of Qatar was chaired by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.

The Arab League held a meeting on December 9 to examine ways to respond to the U.S. decision, including an extraordinary summit held in Jordan as the chair of the current session.
