The State of Qatar has strongly condemned of the attack which targeted a mosque in the city of Benghazi, Libya, killing one person and injuring dozens.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the bombing as a heinous crime and stressed Qatar's total rejection of targeting places of worship and intimidate the civilians.

The statement reiterated Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons.

The Ministry's statement expressed Qatar's condolences to the families of the victims, the government and people of Libya and wished the wounded speedy recovery.
