The State of Qatar has strongly condemned and denounced the explosion that targeted a market in the city of Maiduguri in north-eastern Nigeria, which killed and wounded a number of peoples.

In a statement today, the Foreign Ministry reiterated Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons.

The Ministry's statement expressed Qatar's condolences to the families of the victims, the government and people of Nigeria, wishing the wounded speedy recovery.
