HH the Emir Holds Talks Session with Bulgaria Prime Minister

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Boyko Borissov held a talks session in Sofia on Thursday.

At the outset of the session, Bulgaria's Prime Minister welcomed HH the Emir and the accompanying delegation, pointing that the two countries enjoy close relations, especially with the continuous communication between officials and joint projects between the two countries. He also voiced looking forward to agreement on new projects between the two friendly countries in the near future.

HH the Emir, in turn, expressed thanks for the hospitality. HH the Emir also extended congratulations on behalf of the Qatari people to the Bulgarian government and people on the occasion of the Bulgarian National Day.

HH the Emir pointed out that the ambitions of the two countries are great and they are determined to make every effort to support and develop bilateral relations in various fields, especially investment. His Highness also extended an invitation the Bulgarian Prime Minister to visit Qatar, which he welcomed.

During the session, the two sides discussed means of enhancing the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries to a wider level for the benefit of their peoples.

The talks also dealt with a number of regional and international issues.

Their Excellences members of the official delegation, accompanying HH the Emir, attended the session.

On the Bulgarian side the session was attended by a number of Their Excellences ministers and senior officials.
