The first round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Ecuador was held in the Ecuadorian capital, Quito.

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi presided over the Qatari side, while HE Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ecuador Rolando Suarez chaired the Ecuadorian side.

During the round of the political consultations, they discussed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of supporting and developing them, in addition to a number of issues of joint interest.
