Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets Minister of Foreign Affairs of Benin

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met on Monday with HE Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Benin Aurelien Agbenonci and his accompanying delegation, currently visit the State of Qatar.

The meeting discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation and means of developing them in various fields, in addition to discussing a number of issues of common concern.

Following the meeting, four agreements were signed between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Benin concerning the protection and promotion of investment and the fields of culture, youth, and sports.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani signed, on behalf of the State of Qatar, an agreement in the field of culture and an agreement in the field of youth and sports.

HE Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani signed an agreement on the protection and promotion of investment and an agreement in the area of economic, technical and commercial cooperation.

HE Benin's Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Aurelien Agbenonci signed the agreements on behalf of the Republic of Benin.

The aim of these agreements is to exchange expertize in cultural fields and to develop aspects related to youth and sports.

The signed agreements also aim at encouraging and protecting mutual investments, creating a good investment climate between the two countries, in addition to creating favourable conditions for investments and promoting and protecting these investments, as well as enhancing bilateral economic, technical and commercial cooperation.
