Qatar Provides Ramadan Aid for 5000 Families in Sudan

The State of Qatar, Represented in Ministry of Foreign Affairs, have launched a Ramadan initiative to provide assistance for 5000 poor families in Sudan's Khartoum State.

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Sudan Rashid Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi said in remarks that a convoy of Ramadan foodstuffs moved today, from the Qatari Embassy in Khartoum to the outskirts and suburbs of Khartoum state, indicating that this initiative is an effort of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support some needy groups and families in the brotherly Sudan during the holy month.

He added that this assistance is targeting about 5000 of the less privileged families there. He pointed in the same context to another effort by Qatar Charity to support orphans and needy families in other parts of Sudan and to set up Iftar meals tables in some locations since the beginning of Ramadan in a joint effort with Sudanese organizations.
