The State of Qatar has delivered the third installment of its contribution to the funding of the Global Program on the Implementation of the Doha Declaration, which is being implemented in cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Nations for a period of five years (2016-2020).

HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Austria and its Permanent Representative to the United Nations and international organizations in Vienna, delivered this contribution during a meeting with HE John Brandolino, Director of the Division of Treaty Affairs of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna.

Brandolino praised Qatar's commitment to supporting the Global Program on the Implementation of the Doha Declaration, which is funded by the State of Qatar in support of peace and development in the world and enhancing the capacities of States, particularly developing countries, to combat organized crime and related drug crimes, terrorism and corruption, and to protect the public especially young people from the dangers of these crimes.

The program includes projects and activities to protect youth from crime through sport, promotion of judicial integrity, rehabilitation of prisoners and education for justice. More than 180 countries have benefited from it so far. Its latest achievements include the launch of the global judicial integrity network and the program to combat violent extremism and terrorism through education.
