The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the bombing of a mosque in Paktia Province, Afghanistan, causing deaths and injuries.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement stressed Qatar's total rejection of targeting places of worship and intimidating civilians.

The statement expressed the State of Qatar's condolences to the victims' families, the government and the people of Afghanistan, wishing the injured speedy recovery.
